In my opinion the 80s NWA/WWF was must watch television. Until eventually dying off in the mid 90s because in my opinion it didn't feel as if it was must watch tv. Don't get me wrong, I still watched wrestling in the mid 90s (1992 -1996) but I didn't get that feeling as If i was missing something. (Not sure why, but that's how it felt ) From my own personal experience, I lost interest in wrestling for several years between 1992-1996 and even though I would still follow it. I wouldn't get the sudden urge of trying to record an episode of WCW Saturday Night or even Monday Night RAW on a weekly basis. Don't get me wrong, I did record my share of RAW/WCW Sat-Night episodes on occasion, but it never peaked my interest like a Monday Night Wars era did for a long time. That was several years of MUST WATCH TELEVISION. (in my opinion) I guess wrestling has its moments. One example: The WCW Invasion angle in 2001 had the makings of must watch television, and that angle had me glued to my television on Monday Nights. And if I had work, I would call my house so that someone could record it for me. Even today, I don't get that urge of recording in my DVR or watching the weekly episodes on youtube.. The last time I felt that it was "must watch tv" was when TNA went to Monday Nights. I was recording the shows(I work) every Monday, and i felt i couldn't miss it. Right now I'm not so sure....
